I turned onto this road from highway 47 on my way northbound from Vernonia in November 2011. The logging traffic was intense. Very few breaks in double yellow for passing. Several 5 truck convoys traveling ten over the limit made it tough to pass. If you are lucky enough not to have traffic it's easy to take the sweepers over 60 coming downhill northbound towards hwy 30 (on a Harley softail custom) until the 4 mile stretch south of highway 30 where local traffic intersects from many side streets. Most of the road is posted at 45. No cops sighted from Vernonia to 30. Lots of them once you're on 30.

Just did Apieary from Rainier (and then through to the 26). Nice rural road except that a large portion is being repaved. The South bound lane has recently been completed but the North bound lane is still being repaved in some sections. The construction signs said that work was on-going through until Sept. 30th.
