We just got back from Oregon, and rode that road. It's awesome. There's a nice picnic spot beside the dam. The pavement is great. Watch for deer.

Just got back to Calgary Alberta from a week trip to Central and Eastern Oregon. Have been there several times but this was the first time at Dooley Mtn. I ride an FJR and love the twisties but Dooley bit me coming down towards Baker. I got surprised and bitten by a certain blind decreasing radius right-hander. Thought i was doing good up till that point but I just ran out of road. Bled off most of my speed before low-siding on the gravel at the left-hand edge. Luckily only cosmetic damage and was on my way after picking myself and bike up. Pretty embarrasing and humbling. Also scary as I realized that even though it was forested, there was quite a ways to fall if I slid just a few feet further. So be warned!!
