I rode the Cascade Lakes Hwy twice today, once each direction. Late May, a weekday, virtually no traffic! FJR 1300AE. High speeds were achieved. Fun, fun, fun. Still snow banks on the sides of the road. Maybe one of the best riding days for me ever! A beautiful road. The state has thoughtfully cleared the trees and other growth back about 30 feet from the sides of the road. Makes it much less likely to have an unseen deer or elk jump out in front of you. Thanks ODOT.
