Old Siskiyou Highway

This fantastic little roadway is an old alignment of US99 from long before Interstate 5 came through. It lies within extreme southern Oregon just north of the California border.

The heritage of this old road can easily seen in its construction. Like most of these old roads, it has narrow lanes in somes areas and corners and bridges that are simply not built that way anymore.

The north end of this road starts at the south end of the Emigrant Reservoir at Oregon 66 because US99 used to head east to Klamath Falls back before the Siskiyou and Grants Pass section was opened for 99.

  • Counties: Jackson
  • Length: 11
  • Towns: Barron, Dollarhide, Emigrant Lake, Mistletoe, Siskiyou, Steinman
